POTENT LEADERS
COACHING SERIES
Challenge: progress means grazing your knees
We make progress by trying things out and learning from them. Sometimes it all goes smoothly (a little bit of learning); other times we trip up and graze our knees (lots of learning). Very rarely do we make mistakes that actually bring things to a grinding halt.
This experiment is all about you stepping further back from solving things for your people or making sure everything runs smooth for them. As a leader, you still need to create connection, care about the success of your people, and be clear about expectations. But you don’t need to make sure everything is risk-free for them. In fact, we learn better and progress faster when things get tricky. This week, let them find their own way and see what happens.
